Lonely Points. Definition 4.2.1. Let S be a cubic hypersurface. A point A ∈ S(K) is called a lonely point if for all points B ∈ (TAS ∩ S)(K) we have that AA,B ⊆ S, where AA,B is the line joining A and B. The following two lemmas show that lonely points are a genuine gener- alisation of the Xxxxxxx points of cubic surfaces.
