Lower Paying Position Within the Bargaining Unit. Where an employee is assigned temporarily by the Employer to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a lower paying position within the bargaining unit, they shall continue to be paid their current rate of pay corresponding to the position held immediately prior to such assignment from the commencement of the assignment and for the duration of such assignment.
