Common use of Lunch Break, Rest Periods and Hot Meal Clause in Contracts

Lunch Break, Rest Periods and Hot Meal. All employees shall be allowed one-half (1/2) hour off for the mid-day meal, which half hour shall be included in the working hours above stipulated. Every employee shall receive two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each eight (8) hour shift. All employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute rest period before commencing one (1) hour of overtime work and shall receive an additional fifteen (15) minute rest period after each additional two (2) hour period. Employees who are required to work two (2) or more hours of overtime continuous with their regular shift shall be granted a meal allowance of ten dollars ($10).
