Common use of Management-Initiated Classification, Reclassification, Allocation, or Reallocation Clause in Contracts

Management-Initiated Classification, Reclassification, Allocation, or Reallocation. (2021) In the event of any approved reclassification initiated by management, the Human Resources Department will notify the employee in writing of the reclassification. The notice will include the reclassified job title, the effective date of the reclassification, and the employee’s grade and step. Unless agreed upon by the employee, the reclassification will be effective no less than thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the written notice. If a reclassification is submitted by an employee, on or before the date of a management initiated request, the employee’s reclassification request will be honored as set forth above. Notice to MSEA shall be provided with any job analysis reports completed for a management-initiated classification, reclassification, allocation, or reallocation that results in a new classification, a reclassification, a new allocation, or a reallocation.
