ME Maintenance Outage Extension. An extension of a maintenance outage (MO) beyond its estimated completion date. This is typically used where the original scope of work requires more time to complete than originally scheduled. Do not use this where unexpected problems or delays render the unit out of service beyond the estimated end date of the MO. PO Planned Outage – An outage that is scheduled well in advance and is of a predetermined duration, lasts for several weeks and occurs only once or twice a year. PE Planned Outage Extension – An extension of a planned outage (PO) beyond its estimated completion date. This is typically used where the original scope of work requires more time to complete than originally scheduled.
