Meet and Confer Meeting. If the Contractor disputes the District’s written response, or if the District fails to respond within the time frame prescribed above, the Contractor, within fifteen (15) days of the District’s written response or, if the District fails to respond, within fifteen (15) days after the District’s response was due, may demand, in a writing sent to the District’s Superintendent by registered mail or certified mail, return receipt requested, with a copy to the District’s Director of Construction and Modernization, and Project Manager/Construction Manager, an informal conference to meet and confer for settlement of the issues in dispute. The District shall schedule a meet and confer conference within thirty (30) days of its receipt of the Contractor’s written demand.  Mediation. Therefore, in addition to complying with the contractual Claims procedures, the Contractor is required to present claims to the District pursuant to Government Code § 910, et seq.
