Membership Dues or Service Fees. As a condition of employment, all present employees covered by this Agreement and employees hired, rehired, reinstated or transferred into the bargaining unit shall tender the initiation fee and become members of the Labor Council or shall pay service fees in an amount not to exceed the dues uniformly required for membership (or as otherwise provided by applicable state or federal law), on or before thirty (30) calendar days after the effective date of this Agreement or their date of employment, or transfer into the bargaining unit, whichever is later; and shall continue such membership, or pay such service fees as a condition of continued employment.
