Mentor Teacher Role Defined. The Mentor Teacher shall be available to provide professional support, instruction and guidance. The purpose of the mentor assignment is to provide a peer who can offer assistance, resources, and information in a non-threatening, collegial fashion. The Mentor Teacher will be prepared to assist the Mentee in the following: 1. School Improvement (campus, district, etc.) 2. Curriculum (texts, manuals, core, state, etc.) 3. Lesson planning (ideas execution) 4. Grading Procedures 5. Observations (by both Mentor and Mentee) 6. Conferencing (both student and parent)
