Missing/Found Child. A lost child is not uncommon, but consideration must always be given to the possibility of criminal involvement in such cases. In the event that a child is reported missing, the following guidelines should be followed. a. Missing Child • The Event Holder should immediately contact the Police Department and an Officer will respond to the location. • Once a Missing Child notice is initiated by a parent, guardian, or responsible individual and the Police have been contacted, note the present time and gather the following information:  reporting person’s name  address  child’s name  description/clothing  location child was last seen  time the child was noted missing • The person who reports the child as missing should remain with an event volunteer while others look for the child. If the reporting person insists on searching, advise that it is necessary that they return to a specific location in the venue if they are successful in finding the child. • The Event Holder must designate a location for child reunifications. It is recommended this be the same location where medical services are located. b. Found Child • A Police Officer should be requested to arrive at the child’s location. • If available at the event, utilize the public address system to announce the responsible person’s name and location to meet. • The Police Officer will verify that the adult reporting to pick up the child is a parent, guardian or responsible individual. Also the Officer should verify if the child was lost due to negligence or by accident.

  • Background Check The Department or Customer may require the Contractor to conduct background checks of its employees, agents, representatives, and subcontractors as directed by the Department or Customer. The cost of the background checks will be borne by the Contractor. The Department or Customer may require the Contractor to exclude the Contractor’s employees, agents, representatives, or subcontractors based on the background check results. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that all persons have a responsibility to self-report to the Contractor within three (3) calendar days any arrest for any disqualifying offense. The Contractor must notify the Contract Manager within twenty-four (24) hours of all details concerning any reported arrest. Upon the request of the Department or Customer, the Contractor will re-screen any of its employees, agents, representatives, and subcontractors during the term of the Contract.

  • Stop Payment Request You may ask the Credit Union to stop payment on any check drawn upon or ACH debit scheduled from your checking account. You may request a stop payment by telephone, by mail, or in person. For checks, the stop payment will be effective if the Credit Union receives the order in time for the Credit Union to act upon the order. For ACH debits, the stop payment order must be received at least three (3) banking days before the scheduled date of the transfer. You must state the number of the account, date, and the exact amount of the check or item and the number of the check or originator of the ACH debit. If you give the Credit Union incorrect or incomplete information, the Credit Union will not be responsible for failing to stop payment on the item. If the stop payment order is not received in time for the Credit Union to act upon the order, the Credit Union will not be liable to you or to any other party for payment of the item. If we recredit your account after paying a check over a valid and timely stop payment order, you agree to sign a statement describing the dispute with the payee, to transfer all of your rights against the payee or other holders of the check to the Credit Union, and to assist the Credit Union in legal action taken against the person.

  • Criminal Background Check It is the Responsibility of CHESAPEAKE CENTER, INC. to make certain that its employees, agents, volunteers, and contractors, who have contact with students receiving services are fingerprinted and have a background check in compliance with Family Law Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, and Section 5-551 through 5-557. CHESAPEAKE CENTER, INC. may not hire, contract, or otherwise engage an individual to participate in this Cooperative Agreement who has been convicted of a crime involving child abuse or neglect; contributing to the delinquency of a minor; a crime of violence as set forth in Criminal Law Article §14-101, Annotated Code of Maryland; or has evidence of a criminal history which in the opinion of Chesapeake Center, Inc. makes the individual unfit to participate in this Cooperative Agreement.

  • Background Checks The State may require that the Contractor and Contractor Parties undergo criminal background checks as provided for in the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Administration and Operations Manual or such other State document as governs procedures for background checks.   • Payments for Distribution Assistance and Administrative Support Services (a) Payments to the Distributor. In consideration of the payments made by the Fund to the Distributor under this Plan, the Distributor shall provide administrative support services and distribution services to the Fund. Such services include distribution assistance and administrative support services rendered in connection with Shares (1) sold in purchase transactions, (2) issued in exchange for shares of another investment company for which the Distributor serves as distributor or sub-distributor, or (3) issued pursuant to a plan of reorganization to which the Fund is a party. If the Board believes that the Distributor may not be rendering appropriate distribution assistance or administrative support services in connection with the sale of Shares, then the Distributor, at the request of the Board, shall provide the Board with a written report or other information to verify that the Distributor is providing appropriate services in this regard. For such services, the Fund will make the following payments to the Distributor:

  • Contractor Certification for Contractor Employees Introduction Texas Education Code Chapter 22 requires entities that contract with school districts to provide services to obtain criminal history record information regarding covered employees. Contractors must certify to the district that they have complied. Covered employees with disqualifying criminal histories are prohibited from serving at a school district. Definitions: Covered employees: Employees of a contractor or subcontractor who have or will have continuing duties related to the service to be performed at the District and have or will have direct contact with students. The District will be the final arbiter of what constitutes direct contact with students. Disqualifying criminal history: Any conviction or other criminal history information designated by the District, or one of the following offenses, if at the time of the offense, the victim was under 18 or enrolled in a public school: (a) a felony offense under Title 5, Texas Penal Code; (b) an offense for which a defendant is required to register as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; or (c) an equivalent offense under federal law or the laws of another state. I certify that: NONE (Section A) of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractors are covered employees, as defined above. If this box is checked, I further certify that Contractor has taken precautions or imposed conditions to ensure that the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor will not become covered employees.
