Common use of MULTI-HIRING Clause in Contracts

MULTI-HIRING. 2.4.1 Salaried and permanent employees may be separately engaged as casual employees for duties in a separate section of the property from that in which the employee engages in their usual employment. Such employees will be paid the appropriate rate of pay for a casual employee performing that work. This provision will only operate by mutual agreement between the parties and does not apply where overtime would normally be paid. 2.4.2 For the purposes of clause 2.4, a "section of the property" means a discrete work area other than the employee's usual work area or a discrete set of duties other than the employee's usual duties.
