  • Summer Work a. This section shall apply only to those employees hired to fill temporary summer positions.

  • Time Worked For purposes of computing the eight (8) hour day or the forty (40) hour week to determine entitlement to overtime pay, all sick leave, vacation leave, and holidays shall count as time worked to be added to other hours worked.

  • Site Work a. Streets, driveways, alleys, and parking areas. Repair and restriping of existing concrete or asphalt surfaces and parking areas provided that no changes are made in width, surface, vertical alignment or drainage.

  • Defective Work Work that, for any reason, is not in compliance with the Contract Documents. Defective Work is usually identified in a Notice of Non-Compliant Work.

  • Work Area The specific work area and/or crew an employee reports to on a daily schedule. Work areas are generally smaller divisions of a larger Bid Area.

  • Alternative Work Schedule An alternate forty (40) hour work schedule (other than five (5) uniform and consecutive eight (8) hour days in a seven (7) day period), or for hospital personnel an eighty (80) hour workweek in a fourteen (14) day period and other mutually agreed upon schedules that comply with applicable federal and state law. Employee work schedules normally include two (2) consecutive days off.

  • Alternative Work Schedules An alternative work schedule is any modification of the basic work day and/or work period as defined in Sections 6.1, 6.2, 6.2.1 and 6.2.2 herein. Alternative work schedules may be established by the Employer with the written consent of each nurse involved and notification to the Association at least fifteen (15) calendar days prior to implementation of the schedule. The Employer may return the nurse or the nurse may elect to return to an eight (8) hour work schedule or his/her previous shift following fourteen (14) calendar days’ written notice.
