NEW AND/OR VACANT STATUTORY TEACHING POSITIONS. 13.1 All Occasional Teachers shall have the opportunity to apply for new and/or vacant regular teaching positions with the Board. When the Board plans to hire a teacher it shall post the position on a bulletin board in each school for a minimum of three (3) working days prior to any external advertisement.

NEW AND/OR VACANT STATUTORY TEACHING POSITIONS. The Board shall hire Occasional Teachers as per Part A, Central Terms, Article 17.1.4 17.01 Occasional Teachers shall only be required to submit an updated Pastoral Letter of Reference upon being hired to a full time teaching position with the Board.
NEW AND/OR VACANT STATUTORY TEACHING POSITIONS. 17.01 All Occasional Teachers shall have the opportunity to apply for new and/or vacant regular teaching positions with the Board. (a) All applications for new and/or vacant regular teaching positions with the Board shall be actively considered for one year from the date of receipt. (b) Notwithstanding the above, Occasional Teachers who have applied for full time teaching positions with the Board shall by March 1 of each academic year: i) Advise the Board in writing of their intention to keep their application active for the next academic year. ii) Submit documentation of additional qualifications received since their initial application. 17.03 Occasional Teachers shall only be required to submit an updated Pastoral Letter of Reference upon being hired to a full time teaching position with the Board. 17.04 Such applicants may be granted an interview in accordance with the usual practice of the Board’s selection committee. (a) Teachers on the Occasional Teachers’ List who have been interviewed and recommended for a regular teaching position but not hired at that time will be given first consideration for future openings for which they are qualified and suitable. (b) Following a request in writing, Occasional Teachers who have applied unsuccessfully for three consecutive years for regular teaching positions shall be granted an interview with the Superintendent of Human Resources to discuss their status and prospects.

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.
