Common use of Normal Progression Clause in Contracts

Normal Progression. Normal progression on the salary schedule once permanent status is acquired shall be one (1) step per year for any employee upon satisfactory evaluation until the maximum is reached. Regular District employees who perform duties in a classification other than their regular classification during the summer recess period shall be placed at the beginning step of the appropriate salary range during the first and second consecutive years of such additional employment. Regular district employees who perform duties in a classification higher than their regular classification during summer recess shall be placed at the step of the appropriate range which provides a minimum of a 5% salary increase. Step advancement shall occur the third consecutive year of such additional employment, and every three consecutive years thereafter until the maximum step is reached. MOU dated 6- 10-03
