Common use of Normal Work Hours Clause in Contracts

Normal Work Hours. The hours of work for full-time employees shall normally be eight (8) consecutive hours per day (exclusive of an unpaid lunch break where applicable), 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The normal work week for full-time employees in the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants shall include Saturday and Sunday working hours in the interest of public health, safety and welfare. Full-time employees who are assigned Saturday and Sunday at the Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants shall receive an additional $.50 per hour for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. The normal work hours for part-time employees will be determined by the supervisor to meet the needs of the Division/Department.
