Notice of Permanent Layoffs or Closure of a Department. Where the Company intends to lay off permanently ten (10) or more employees or to close an existing department, the Company shall give notice of its intention as soon as practicable and in the case of a department closure, twelve (12) months prior to its effective date. The notice shall specify the operation or facilities involved, the nature of the work affected, the employees affected, and the reasons for the Company's decision.
