Common use of Notification and Meeting with the Association President Clause in Contracts

Notification and Meeting with the Association President. Prior to a RIF, the Board shall give written notice to the Association President of its intent to affect a RIF. Such notice shall contain the reason(s) for the RIF and the bargaining unit member(s) who may be affected. The Superintendent will meet with the Association President within ten (10) calendar days of the written notice to discuss the merits of the RIF. The Board will provide written notice of the RIF to affected bargaining unit members at least sixty (60) calendar days prior to the effective date of the RIF.
