Notification When Absent. To be eligible for sick leave payment, an employee must notify their principal or supervisor or their designee as soon as possible but not later than the starting time of their scheduled shift. This notice may be waived if the employee can conclusively establish that they could not reasonably have been expected to comply with this requirement because of circumstances beyond the control of the employee.
