Notification When Absent. To be eligible for sick leave payment, an employee must notify the Director of Transportation and Plant Operations as defined by department policy. This notice may be waived if the employee can conclusively establish that he/she could not reasonably have been expected to comply with this requirement because of circumstances beyond the control of the employee.
