Retirement Insurance A teacher retiring from the District and under the provisions of Teachers’ Retirement Association (TRA) is eligible to continue to participate in group insurance programs (health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, supplemental life insurance) as permitted under the insurance policy provisions provided the teacher pay the entire premium for such group insurance programs commencing with the beginning of the retirement (see District Website, Human Resources for specific coverage available). The teacher shall be responsible for paying the monthly premium amounts in advance and on such dates as determined by the District/third party administrator. The right to continue participation in such group insurance programs will discontinue upon the failure of the teacher to pay the premiums to the District/third party administrator, or the expiration of insurance availability under the insurance policy provisions. Since long-term disability insurance coverage replaces salary, and a retiree receives no salary, long-term disability insurance coverage is not available.
I nsurance During the License Term, Licensee shall, at its own cost and expense, procure and continue in force such insurance policies as are required by Licensor. Such insurance shall, at a minimum include commercial general liability insurance with a combined policy limit of at least $1,000,000 or such other amount as is reasonably agreed to by the parties. Licensor shall be named as an additional named insured on all such policies of insurance. A renewal policy shall be procured not less than ten (10) days prior to the expiration of any policy. Each original policy or a certified copy thereof, or a satisfactory certificate of the insurer evidencing insurance carried with proof of payment of the premium, shall be deposited with Licensor prior to the commencement date of the term hereof and within ten (10) days of the each anniversary date thereafter. If possible and financially feasible, Licensee shall endeavor to have the foregoing insurance policy provide coverage for issues related to COVID-19, novel coronavirus, or similar issues. Licensee shall provide workers’ compensation and employer liability coverage as may be required by the State of Nebraska.
Group Insurance Plan The carriers, coverage, and terms and conditions of participation under the District’s Group Insurance Plan are subject to change in accordance with the applicable provisions of Title I, Division 4, Chapter 10 of the California Government Code (Section 3500 et seq.) (Xxxxxx‐Milias‐Brown Act).
Joint Insurance Committee The Committee shall be referred to as the Joint Insurance Committee (Academic Employees).
Workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance endorsements The following are required:
DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN Management shall expend for active employees of this unit who are members of LACERS the sum necessary to cover the cost of a basic disability insurance plan. Management shall also maintain a Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan, enrollment in which is at the discretion of each employee. The full cost of the Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan premiums shall be paid by the individual employees who enroll in the plan. The City's Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee shall determine the benefits and provider of the plan
Health and Accident Insurance Unit members shall continue to be covered under the State's Group Health and Accident Insurance plan currently in effect pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 32A of the General Laws as amended or as such plan may be made available under applicable law of the Commonwealth. Pre-tax treatment of group health insurance contributions shall be implemented as soon as is administratively feasible. Benefits shall not be provided to part-time employees except as required by law; provided that Colleges that decide to provide benefits to part-time employees will discuss that issue with the MCCC prior to implementation; provided further that any part-time employee currently receiving benefits shall not lose those benefits.
Contractors Pollution Liability Insurance (If Applicable $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate or whatever amount is acceptable to the City for any exposure to “hazardous materials” as this term is defined in applicable law, including but not limited to waste, asbestos, fungi, bacterial or mold. Lower tier sub-subcontractors, Truckers, Suppliers: Evidence confirming lower tier subcontractors, truckers and suppliers are maintaining valid insurance prior to beginning work on the project to meet the requirements set forth herein on Subcontractor, including but not limited to all additional insured requirements of Subcontractor. ALL COVERAGES Coverage shall not be suspended, voided, canceled, or non-renewed by either CONTRACTOR or by the insurer, reduced in coverage or in limits except after thirty (30) days' prior written notice has been given to CITY except for ten (10) days’ notice for nonpayment of premium.
GROUP INSURANCE PLANS 15.01 The Company agrees to provide all full time employees with one (1) or more years of continuous service, a *Short Term Disability Benefit (S.T.D.) as generally described in Section B of a notice to all employees of the amended Benefit Plan dated May 1, 1993. *Payment for Short Term Disability shall begin on the third (3rd) consecutive day of absence. For those employees who have completed ninety (90) days of perfect attendance from the last date of return to work from an absence due to sickness or accident, shall be paid S.T.D. from the first (1st) day for the first covered absence following the ninety (90) days of perfect attendance.
INSURANCE PROTECTION Insurance protection for employees travelling on work related business is provided in accordance with the DHB’s insurance policy. The provisions of the insurance policy are available through the Human Resources department.
