OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. 1. Official Representatives 42. The Union may select up to the number of employees as specified in the Employee Relations Ordinance for purposes of meeting and conferring with the City on matters within the scope of representation. If a situation should arise where the Union believes that more than five (5) employee members should be present at such meetings and the City disagrees, the Union shall take the matter up with the Employee Relations Director and the parties shall attempt to reach agreement as to how many employees shall be authorized to participate in said meetings. 43. a. The organization's duly authorized representative shall inform in writing the department head or officer under whom each selected employee member is employed that such employee has been selected. 44. b. No selected employee member shall leave the duty or work station, or assignment without specific approval of appropriate Employer representative.
