Common use of Old Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Old Sick Leave. 1. Employee stopped accruing twenty (20) hours per month of Sick Leave on December 31, 2006. 2. Employee balances of Old Sick Leave shall not increase after December 31, 2006. 3. Employee may access Old Sick Leave only after his New Sick Leave balance has been exhausted (zeroed). 4. Old Sick Leave shall not be eligible to be converted to vacation leave. 5. Employee may credit hour for hour Old Sick Leave towards service credit to the maximum allowed by PERS. 6. Employee may cash out Old Sick Leave at 25% of balance upon separation from District at his present hourly rate. These monies are taxable and are not applicable as PERS-able income.
