On-Call Hours. The maximum mandatory scheduled on-call hours will be implemented within ninety (90) days of ratification of the contract. When the monthly average on-call hours for a group of employees or an individual (who have/has an expectation to share in the unit’s collective on-call ) meets or exceeds one hundred thirty two (132) hours per month, the Call Staffing Committee, upon request of the employee or the Union, will meet to determine a course of action to lower the on-call hours. Management, with the committee, will endeavor to immediately lower the overall mandatory on-call hours. The committee will continue to meet to determine a course of action to lower on-call hours long-term. If, after sixty (60) days, the mandatory scheduled on-call hours remain over the established mandatory maximum, the next level of management for the department will participate in the committee’s work to facilitate a course of action to lower the on-call hours.
