Common use of ONA President Leave Clause in Contracts

ONA President Leave. Upon application in writing by the Union on behalf of the nurse, to the University, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse selected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive years. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the University of the nurse's intentions to return to work at least one (1) month prior to the date of return.
