Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service. The rates below apply to Transmission Customers taking Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service from BPA, and to generators in the BPA Control Area for settlement of energy deliveries. Spinning Reserve Service is needed to serve load immediately in the event of a system contingency. BPA will determine the Transmission Customer’s Spinning Reserve Requirement in accordance with applicable NERC, WECC, and NWPP standards.

Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service. Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service is needed to serve load immediately in the event of a system contingency. Spinning Reserve Service may be provided by generating units that are on-line and loaded at less than maximum output. BPA must offer this service in accordance with applicable NERC, WECC, and NWPP standards. The Transmission Customer or Control Area Service Customer must either purchase this service from BPA or make alternative comparable arrangements to satisfy its Spinning Reserve Service obligation. The Transmission Customer’s or Control Area Service Customer’s obligation is determined consistent with NERC, WECC, and NWPP criteria.
Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service. The product of the currently effective Spinning Reserve Service Charge as provided for in Schedule 5 of PacifiCorp’s OATT and the amount calculated as the APD plus the Deseret Area Load for which Deseret has the obligation to supply Spinning Reserve Service, less any amounts self supplied by Deseret. Deseret shall ensure that any load served by Deseret for which the recipient has the responsibility for Operating Reserves is so indicated on the electronic tag.

Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service. (a) During the effectiveness of this Agreement, Oglethorpe Power may elect, pursuant to Section 11.1, (i) to purchase from Georgia Power Operating Reserve - Spinning Reserve Service for OPC Territorial Load at rates then in effect under the Open Access Transmission Tariff of Southern Companies, (ii) to maintain, subject to the provisions below or any change implemented pursuant to Section 3.2, spinning operating reserves for OPC Territorial Load, ("Spinning Reserve Requirement"), or (iii) to purchase short term Spinning Reserve Service pursuant to Section 11.7.
Operating Reserve – Spinning Reserve Service. Michigan Transco agrees to pay Consumers for provision of this Ancillary Service as rendered under this Agreement at the rates specified in Appendix B hereof.
