Orientation Programs. Promoted Lieutenants and Captains shall attend or have attended an Officer Orientation Program. Promoted ARFF Captains, Special Operations Captains, EMS Captain and Battalion Chiefs may be required to attend an Officer Orientation Program. These orientation programs will be administered on the basis of a forty (40) hour, Monday through Friday, schedule. This course shall not exceed eighty (80) hours.
Orientation Programs. All orientation programs for new teachers shall be co-sponsored by the Board and the Association with the Association obligated to assume only such costs as may be mutually agreed upon during the planning of such programs. To the extent prohibited by law, the Board shall not be expected to assume the cost of purely social events conducted as part of such orientation programs, nor shall the Association be expected to assume the cost of speakers, consultants, and services normally considered an appropriate professional in- service training activity of a Board of Education. Duties and responsibilities of teachers involving student supervision outside of regular class work shall be clearly explained as part of the regular orientation program.
Orientation Programs. 1. The Association shall be given up to two hours’ time during the orientation day program to present Association programs to all employees with the bargaining unit.
2. The District shall provide the Association with a list of all newly hired bargaining unit members and bargaining unit members who have separated employment from the District upon request, which will include their names, assignments, hire dates, separation dates, and worksites.
Orientation Programs. The Association shall be provided time on the agenda at all general orientation programs for new unit members only to provide general information on the Association and its duties as exclusive bargaining agent.
Orientation Programs. All in-service programs for new teachers are the responsibility of the District. The Madras Education Association may request reasonable time to explain the goals and objectives of the MEA to new teachers during the in-service period. This MEA orientation is a non-compulsory meeting for new teachers. The District will consult with MEA to establish a mutually agreed upon time.
Orientation Programs. Student orientation programs that occur at LaMuth prior to the beginning of the school year and require teacher presence will result in the teacher(s) receiving compensation at the class coverage rate.
Orientation Programs. The Association may suggest items for inclusion and/or discussion during orientation programs. Final determination for the use of such items remains with the Superintendent.
