Orientation (Reference 18 NYCRR 385. 5) Check one of the following:  The district provides orientation in accordance with 18 NYCRR Section 385.5 and no additional information is provided at orientation. ☒ In addition to the requirements outlined in 18 NYCRR Section 385.5 of the regulations, the district’s orientation provides the following: - A statement of the benefits of working over receiving Temporary Assistance, the implications of TANF-funded Temporary Assistance time limits, an explanation of the ways in which the district accommodates applicants and recipients with mental or physical impairments; - Description of the assistance provided by the district on how to find employment, with a focus on an individualized approach to assisting clients with finding paid employment that matches their skills and needs as the ultimate goal; - Instructions on the individual’s rights and responsibilities and the requirements for full participation; - An exploration with the individual of any available alternatives to Temporary Assistance. If feasible, the district works cooperatively with the individual to develop a strategy that utilizes available programs, including Child Care In Lieu of Public Assistance, and community resources to avoid the need for ongoing Temporary Assistance benefits; - Information about education and training opportunities; - Information about social services programs, including transitional supportive services; - Information about what to do in case of an emergency. Described below is the manner in which the district completes the required orientation for all applicants and recipients of Temporary Assistance (e.g., in a group setting, individually, or a combination of both), including the orientation procedure for exempt individuals and non-exempt individuals, if different: HRA completes the required orientation in a combination of individual and group settings. The responsibilities are divided among FIA workers, CAS, and contracted providers at different locations.

  • GEOGRAPHIC AREA AND SECTOR SPECIFIC ALLOWANCES, CONDITIONS AND EXCEPTIONS The following allowances and conditions shall apply where relevant: Where the company does work which falls under the following headings, the company agrees to pay and observe the relevant respective conditions and/or exceptions set out below in each case.

  • Construction; References; Captions Since the Parties or their agents have participated fully in the preparation of this Agreement, the language of this Agreement shall be construed simply, according to its fair meaning, and not strictly for or against any Party. Any term referencing time, days or period for performance shall be deemed calendar days and not work days. All references to Consultant include all personnel, employees, agents, and subconsultants of Consultant, except as otherwise specified in this Agreement. All references to City include its elected officials, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers except as otherwise specified in this Agreement. The captions of the various articles and paragraphs are for convenience and ease of reference only, and do not define, limit, augment, or describe the scope, content or intent of this Agreement.

  • Transfer and Seniority Outside Bargaining Unit No employee shall be transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit without his consent. If an employee is transferred to a position outside of the bargaining unit, he shall retain his seniority accumulated up to the date of leaving the unit, but will not accumulate any further seniority. If such an employee returns to the bargaining unit within twelve (12) months, he shall be placed in a job consistent with his seniority. Such return shall not result in the layoff or bumping of an employee holding greater seniority.

  • Certification of Meeting or Exceeding Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy Minimum Standards A. Grantee certifies that it has adopted and enforces a Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy that meets or exceeds all of the following minimum standards of:

  • Safety Orientation All employees shall be certified in Safety Orientation. Safety Orientation shall consist of three parts: PART 1 - the CODC Interactive Rights and Responsibilities course; PART 2 - the XXXX course or equivalent, and PART 3 - Employer or Owner Project Specific Training. It is the responsibility of each employee to hold current certification and maintain certification in part 1 and Part 2. The Employer or Owner shall provide to each Employee before commencing work with PART 3 - Employer or Owner Project Specific Training. Each Employee shall be on the payroll and paid while receiving PART 3 training. As a condition of employment it is the sole responsibility of each and every employee to obtain, hold and maintain all current certification(s) in any and all legislated safety training requirements (i.e. WHMIS, Fall Arrest, etc.) that are trade specific. Supporting documentation of all legislated training must be provided by the employee to the Union prior to dispatch and to the employer upon hire and may be further requested by the employer at any time during the duration of their employment. Prior to the expiration of any certification, the Employer will notify the Employee of the pending expiration and give the Employee reasonable time to renew their certification. Further, prior to arriving at site, employees shall hold current qualification(s) for the specific tasks and equipment identified in the dispatch request. If the employee has to be trained after dispatch, all costs borne by the Employer shall be reimbursed by the Training Fund. The CODC Harassment Policy and Procedures, including the provisions regarding General Harassment and as amended from time to time shall be the minimum standard of this Agreement.

  • Transfer and Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit (a) It is understood that an employee shall not be transferred by the Hospital to a position outside the bargaining unit without his consent except in the case of temporary assignments not exceeding six (6) months. Such employees on temporary assignments shall remain members of the bargaining unit.

  • Section References All section references, unless otherwise indicated, shall be to Sections in this Agreement.

  • Technical References Technical References that describe the practices, procedures and specifications for certain services (and the applicable interfaces relating thereto) are listed on Schedule 2.3 (the “Technical Reference Schedule”) to assist the Parties in meeting their respective responsibilities hereunder.

  • With reference to Article 5 It is understood that the term “permanent establishment” also includes the furnishing of services by an enterprise of a Contracting State through employees or other personnel engaged by the enterprise for such purpose, but only where the activities of such employees or personnel are performed in the territory of the other Contracting State for a period or periods aggregating more than 183 days within any twelve-month period.
