Common use of Outside Employment Clause in Contracts

Outside Employment. A. "Outside employment" shall mean any private practice, private consulting, additional teaching or research, or other professional activity which is not part of the unit member's assigned duties and for which no compensation is paid by or through the University.

Outside Employment. A. For full-time staff and fractional staff with an employment fraction of 50% or research, or other professional activity which is not part more of the unit full-time equivalent, outside employment must be approved by the delegated officer, prior to commencement of outside employment. Any liabilities will be the responsibility of the staff member's assigned duties and for which no compensation is paid by or through the University.
