Common use of Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest Clause in Contracts

Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. (a) Subject to clause 12.02, an employee who is required by the Employer to report for duty and works on his days of rest shall be compensated for each completed period of fifteen (15) minutes of overtime worked by him on his days of rest; (b) on the employee’s first day of rest, at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of overtime worked and at the double (2) time rate for each contiguous hour thereafter;
