OVERTIME WORK DEFINED. Overtime work shall be defined as all work performed pursuant to subsections 7.A. and 7.B. of this Section in excess of the work hours set forth in subsection 6.B. of this Agreement and as specified in the Fair Labor Standards Act regarding hours worked in excess of 171 hours in a 28 day work period. Overtime work shall be kept to a minimum. Wherever feasible and appropriate, the Sheriff shall adjust work schedules to eliminate the need for overtime work.
