Common use of Painter Clause in Contracts

Painter. Regardless of the provisions of Article 23.09 1) one of the following compensation amounts shall apply to an employee from this trade: • $20.00 when the employee’s residence is located more than 65 kilometres from the job site. This compensation shall be $25.00 as of December 28, 2014 and $31.50 as of April 26, 2015. As of May 1, 2016, the special rule shall be eliminated. • $40.00 when the employee’s residence is located more than 90 kilometres from the job site. This compensation shall be $41.20 as of April 26, 2015. As of May 1, 2016, the special rule shall be eliminated. (The amounts for the years 2015 and 2016 shall be determined by an arbitration board. However, if the arbitration board has not rendered its decision by either of the dates specified in this article, the amounts herein specified shall be paid.)
