Panel of Physicians Clause Samples
The Panel of Physicians clause establishes a designated group of medical professionals from which an injured employee must select a treating physician in the event of a workplace injury. Typically, the employer provides a list of approved doctors or medical facilities, and the employee is required to choose a provider from this list for their initial treatment. This clause ensures that medical care is managed within a network familiar to the employer and often helps control costs, while also streamlining the process for both parties by clarifying the options available for medical treatment.
Panel of Physicians. The parties will meet as soon as practicable after the effective date of the Agreement to establish a panel of expert physicians knowledgeable in chemical, nuclear and/or industrial hazards. Employees may be referred to such physicians by the examining emergency room physician. The Employer will pay for such examinations if not covered by the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation or health insurance.
