Pay Advances. a bargaining unit employee may request his/her accrued annual or holiday leave pay in advance of his/her scheduled leave by submitting a request in writing (including approved leave slip) to the Bureau of Finance, Payroll Section at least three (3) weeks prior to starting leave. This provision shall be limited to bargaining unit employees on leave in excess of ten (10) working days. Advance payment for annual leave will not be granted in advance of hours earned, and the request must be made in the same fiscal year that the leave will be taken. Bargaining unit employees can avail themselves of this section only if available and permissible by the funding source.
