Common use of Personal Illness/Disability Clause in Contracts

Personal Illness/Disability. An employee who is unable to work because of personal ill- ness or disability and who has exhausted all sick leave available may, upon application to the Board and upon approval of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of such illness or disability, up to one (1) year. An extension may be granted by the Board for unusual situations.
