Planting Site Sample Clauses

Planting Site. A planting spot is a location where a seedling can be planted with reasonable and safe effort, and where there is enough soil for the seedling to survive and grow satisfactorily. Extra effort will be necessary to locate suitable planting spots in areas covered by slash or brush. Game trails, roads, user trails, and rodent holes are not acceptable planting sites. Plating sites shall be selected to take advantage of stumps, logs, dead brush, and terrain features which provide partial protection from sun, wind animals, loose debris, and other agents detrimental to survival and growth. Seedlings must be planted outside of the drip line of existing trees or at a spacing designated for that specific unit, whichever is greater.
