Common use of Policy and Group Grievance Clause in Contracts

Policy and Group Grievance. The OTBU has the right to file a Policy Grievance or Group Grievance on behalf of two or more Occasional Teachers who are similarly affected as a result of an alleged violation of the Collective Agreement. The Employer has the right to file a Policy Grievance. Any Policy or Group Grievance must be filed within twenty (20) days of the event which gave rise to the grievance or within twenty (20) days of the time when the party should reasonably be expected to be aware of the relevant facts. Such grievance shall be filed at Step One except that an Employer grievance shall be filed with the OTBU President and at Step Two, the Employer's Grievance Committee shall present its grievance to District 14, OSSTF's Grievance Committee.
