Common use of Position Abolished Clause in Contracts

Position Abolished. An employee whose position is abolished shall displace the least senior employee within the same classification whose job the employee has the ability to perform as determined by the School District. If there are no jobs in the same classification that the employee can perform, the employee shall be moved in the same manner to the next lower classification. Moves for displaced persons shall be handled in the same manner. The trial period does not apply. It shall not be mandatory for an employee to accept a part-time position when a full-time position is available.
