Vacancy Postings. Where the Commission Employer decides to fill a bargaining unit vacancy, it will be posted in accordance with this article unless otherwise specifically agreed to by the Union:
(a) Vacancies for regular full-time or regular part-time positions within the bargaining unit, shall be posted for 10 calendar days prior to the closing date. Such postings shall be advertised electronically in all work centres throughout the Commission, and a copy sent electronically to the President of the Union, or designate.
(b) The posting shall contain the following information: nature of posting, qualifications, skills, shift work (where applicable), salary and location (where possible). The posting shall state the area in Metro Vancouver or the municipality if outside of Metro Vancouver.
(c) The Commission Employer shall proceed with the selection process within 45 30 days following the closing date of the posting.
(d) For Building Manager vacancies, the actual location shall be specified. The successful applicant for the job posting shall not be eligible to apply for another job posting for a period of six months from the date of acceptance. Applications received from seniority rated applicants for jobs posted shall have preference over other applicants, providing competency and qualifications are reasonably equal.
(e) The Commission Employer shall post vacancies that are temporary and that will be for a period of one year or more.
(f) Positions must be filled within 45 30 days following the selection of a candidate.
Vacancy Postings. (a) Vacancy Bulletins
Vacancy Postings. 1. Notice of vacant positions shall include the minimum requirements, summary of job description, and the closing date, which is ten (10) calendar days following the posted date. The posting shall include any information regarding unique funding circumstances or other details which could affect the on-going status of the position.
2. Notice of vacancies at the end of the first semester will be made as such vacancies occur. Vacancies shall be posted on the District web site under the Human Resources Department Job Opportunities link. The Association President shall be provided a copy of each posting for positions within both the certified and classified units.
3. The Human Resources Department will identify and post known vacancies for the next school year by May 7th or the workday thereafter. Other vacancies that occur after May 7th will also be posted by the Human Resources Department.
Vacancy Postings. Notice of openings in the district will be posted on the district website as soon as the position is declared to be open and at least five working days prior to the closing date of the posting. The electronic posting and e-mail notification to members satisfies the notification process.
Vacancy Postings. Notice of all paraprofessional certified vacancies and newly created paraprofessional positions shall be posted on employee bulletin boards within one (l) pay period from the date of the vacancy or the establishment of the new position. Association members shall be given five
Vacancy Postings.
A. Notice of vacancies identified by the Human Resources Department and call for ap- plications for positions within the bargaining unit will be made as such vacancies develop. This provision shall not apply in the event the District determines that the position is to be filled for less than one half of the school year or the District wishes to utilize the services of a long term substitute. The notice will include the minimum requirements, varying de- scriptions, any application restrictions and the deadline for submission of applications. Such notice, from the date of publication shall be posted for a minimum of five (5) working days prior to the time such vacancies are filled. During non-school periods, the posting shall be on the Office of Human Resources website.
B. The Office of Human Resources will identify and will make every effort to post known vacancies for the next school year by April 15. Other vacancies that occur after April 15 will be posted when known by the Office of Human Resources.
C. Summer school positions or probable positions will be advertised no later than April 30 of each year or as soon as possible after grants have been approved. Employees currently employed by the District will be given first consideration in filling summer posi- tions. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible prior to the end of the regular school year.
D. Applications for positions will be submitted to the Office of Human Resources. Appli- cations for the positions posted shall be only for the position applied for, or, if the position is general in nature, for the school year in which said position was advertised.
E. Voluntary transfer requests on file or filed with the Office of Human Resources shall be considered before new employees are placed.
X. Xxxxxxx postings will be sent to the President of NEA-Bernalillo as vacancies occur.
Vacancy Postings. A. A vacancy shall be defined as any open position in the bargaining unit which the Superintendent determines shall be filled resulting from:
1. an employee’s leaving employment as a result of termination, resignation, or death;
2. an employee’s non-renewal for cause;
3. an employee’s transfer to another position;
4. the creation of a new bargaining unit position.
B. In anticipation of a vacancy resulting from the four (4) reasons listed in the section above, the Superintendent may post a position for interviewing purposes only.
C. Posting for vacancies shall be done as soon as possible but no later than thirty (30) calendar days after the occurrence of the vacancy.
D. The Association president or her/his designee shall receive written notification of all vacancies, and the same notification shall be posted on teacher lounge/work room bulletin boards in each building, and emailed to teachers.
E. All bargaining unit vacancies which occur shall be posted for a period of five (5) work days. All bargaining unit members may bid on all postings for which they are certificated/licensed and meet minimum qualifications. Administrative vacancies shall be posted according to Board policy.
F. The vacancy notification shall include the position title, entry level qualifications, licensing and/or certification requirements, description of the position’s duties, location where it is to be performed, date of initial posting and last date to apply for the position.
G. No vacancy occurring during the school year may be filled on a temporary basis for more than forty (40) calendar days at which time the vacancy shall be permanently filled. Any teacher hired for said vacancy shall be automatically non-renewed at the end of the year without Board action or hearing. This shall supersede O.R.C. 3319.11 to the extent permitted by law.
H. When all other conditions are equal, seniority within the bargaining unit shall be the final determining factor in the filling of a vacancy.
Vacancy Postings. 11.2.1 Every vacancy in a teaching position shall be announced throughout the District within ten (10) days of the Superintendent/designee's determination that the vacancy exists. All vacancies will be posted on the District Web Site and at a designated location at each school site.
11.2.1.1 The vacant position description shall include:
(1) credentials necessary
(2) special professional attributes required for the position.
11.2.1.2 Notification of the vacant position shall be distributed as follows:
(1) all site administrators (posting area should be at a site designated location)
(2) department chairpersons
(3) the Association
(4) teachers on leave of absence
11.2.1.3 Vacancy notices will be posted at the sites and District Office for a minimum of five (5) business days before the position is filled permanently. This subsection shall not apply within 10 working days of the start of school.
Vacancy Postings. Job vacancies and training positions shall be posted on the specific form for a period of at least five (5) business days in a conspicuous place in the work area setting forth qualifications, hours, shift and job title and any testing to be administered. Job postings may be signed by any employee in the bargaining unit. A job may be temporarily filled before a permanent assignment is made, according to Section 2.3 D (temporary employees) or Section 8.4 G (regular employees). In the event that a vacancy is not filled within thirty (30) business days of the removal of the posting, the University agrees to notify the Union of the cause of the delay. If no qualified employee signs the job posting, it may be filled by a new employee. The employee who is awarded the vacancy will be given 30 days actually worked to determine his or her ability to satisfactorily perform the job. If the employee is unable to perform the duties of the job he or she will revert to his or her former classification. The employee who is awarded the vacancy will be given 30 days actually worked to determine if he or she desires to return to his or her former classification. If the employee does wish to return to the former classification within this time period, he or she will return to that classification.
Vacancy Postings. The Superintendent shall have posted on the District website a notice by job title of all vacancies of regular and administrative staff positions and compensated extra-curricular positions which occur in the District during the School Year or during summer vacation (except as modified in Section 5.9.5 below).
5.9.1 All vacancy notices for regular and administrative staff positions shall set forth the minimum qualifications and the application procedure.
5.9.2 Notices shall be posted on the District website not later than five (5) working days following the Board’s action creating the new position or the Board’s decision to fill a vacancy after acceptance of a resignation.
5.9.3 Such vacancies shall not be filled permanently until at least five (5) working days after the posting required in Section 5.9.2.
5.9.4 Nothing in this Section 5.9 shall be construed to obligate or require the Board to fill a vacant position.
5.9.5 This provision shall not apply to vacancies occurring within ten (10) days prior to the start of the following School Year.
