Common use of Position Movement Clause in Contracts

Position Movement. Notwithstanding any other specific provision of this agreement, where an employee moves from one position in a classification to another position in a different classification with the same salary range base number, the employee will retain their current pay rate. The employee will be eligible for a step increase at their next salary eligibility date provided they are not at the top step of the range.
