Position Notice. 8.1.12 When a position in one of the sections outlined in Section 8.1 becomes available, the Sheriff or his/her designee shall issue a vacant position notice with the department. The notice shall include a brief description of the duties of the position, the minimum qualifications required for the position, and the deadline for receiving applications. The notice of vacancy shall be posted for ten (10) calendar days. The first day of posting shall be at least twenty (20) calendar days prior to filling the position.
