Common use of Positions Less Than 20 Hours Per Week Clause in Contracts

Positions Less Than 20 Hours Per Week. It is the College’s right to establish the number of hours that its employees work. However, if a new position is established wherein the employee works between 16 and 19 hours per week inclusive, the appropriate Senior Leadership Team member will review the position after a period of one year and determine whether the scheduled hours per week be raised to 20 or more, or decreased to 15 or less. Such a decision will be wholly that of management and not subject to the grievance procedure.
