Common use of Posting of Shift Schedules Clause in Contracts

Posting of Shift Schedules. (a) Shift schedules, covering a minimum of a six (6) week period shall be posted not less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days in advance. When a change is made in the Regular Employee's scheduled work days the Employee shall be informed and the change shall be recorded on the shift schedule. When such change is made with less than seven (7) calendar days notice, the Regular Employee shall be paid at two times (2X) the Basic Rate of Pay for all hours worked on the first (1st) shift of the changed schedule. (b) If, in the course of a posted schedule, the Employer changes the Employee’s scheduled shift (i.e. days to evenings, days to nights or evenings to nights) with less than forty-eight (48) hours notice, the Employee shall be paid at the rate of two times (2X) their Basic Rate of Pay for all hours worked on the changed shift. (c) If, in the course of a posted schedule, the Employer changes a regular Employee’s scheduled start time and/or end time with less than forty- eight (48) hours notice, the Employee shall be paid at two times (2X) their Basic Rate of Pay for hours worked outside of the originally scheduled hours. (d) The Employer shall allow a Representative of the Union to reproduce a copy of the posted shift schedule.
