Postretirement Death Benefit. Upon the death of the Executive after the Executive is eligible for the Early Retirement Benefit, Normal Retirement Benefit or Disability Benefit payments under Section 3.1, Section 3.2 or Section 3.3 but before receiving a total of one hundred eighty (180) monthly installments of the Early Retirement Benefit, the Normal Retirement Benefit or Disability Benefit, the Executive’s Beneficiary will receive the remaining Account Balance, payable in a lump sum within thirty (30) days after submission of proof of claim substantiating the Executive’s death (with the Beneficiary having no right to designate the taxable year of the payment).

Postretirement Death Benefit. Upon the death of the Executive after (i) the Executive has started receiving Normal Retirement Benefit payments under Section 3.1 or (ii) the Executive has experienced a Separation from Service arising from a Disability, but before Executive has received a total of one hundred eighty (180) payments of the Normal Retirement Benefit or Disability Benefit, as applicable, the Executive’s Beneficiary will receive, in accordance with the election made by the Executive as provided in Section 3.3 above either (a) a lump sum payment representing the net present value of the amount that represents what the Executive would have received under Section 3.1 or 3.2 in one hundred eighty (180) installments, minus the number of installments the Executive already received (with the Beneficiary having no right to designate the taxable year of the payment) or (b) the balance of the one hundred eighty (180) monthly installments, which balance shall be payable monthly in accordance with Section 3.1. Net present value for purposes of clause (a) shall be determined by applying a discount rate determined by the Plan Administrator in good faith. In the event of death, the Executive shall be deemed to be fully vested irrespective of the vesting schedule provided for in Section 3.1(b).
Postretirement Death Benefit. In the event of the death of a Retired Participant whose benefits are in "pay status," or of a Vested Participant, the death benefit shall be one hundred percent (100%) of the undistributed balance of the Participant's Accrued Benefit, if any, reduced by any security interest held by the Plan by reason of a loan outstanding.

  • Pre-Retirement Death Benefit (a) Normal form of payment. If (i) the Director dies while employed by the Bank, and (ii) the Director has not made a Timely Election to receive a lump sum benefit, this Subsection 4.1(a) shall be controlling with respect to pre-retirement death benefits. The balance of the Director=s Retirement Income Trust Fund, measured as of the later of (i) the Director=s death, or (ii) the date any final lump sum Contribution is made pursuant to Subsection 2.1(b), shall be annuitized (using the Interest Factor) into monthly installments and shall be payable for the Payout Period. Such benefits shall commence within thirty (30) days of the date the Administrator receives notice of the Director=s death. Should Retirement Income Trust Fund assets actually earn a rate of return, following the date such balance is annuitized, which is less than the rate of return used to annuitize the Retirement Income Trust Fund, no additional contributions to the Retirement Income Trust Fund shall be required by the Bank in order to fund the final benefit payment(s) and make up for any shortage attributable to the less-than-expected rate of return. Should Retirement Income Trust Fund assets actually earn a rate of return, following the date such balance is annuitized, which is greater than the rate of return used to annuitize the Retirement Income Trust Fund, the final benefit payment to the Director=s Beneficiary shall distribute the excess amounts attributable to the greater-than-expected rate of return. The Director=s Beneficiary may request to receive the unpaid balance of the Director=s Retirement Income Trust Fund in a lump sum payment. If a lump sum payment is requested by the Beneficiary, payment of the balance of the Retirement Income Trust Fund in such lump sum form shall be made only if the Director=s Beneficiary notifies both the Administrator and trustee in writing of such election within ninety (90) days of the Director=s death. Such lump sum payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of such notice. The Director=s Accrued Benefit Account (if applicable), measured as of the later of (i) the Director's death or (ii) the date any final lump sum Phantom Contribution is recorded in the Accrued Benefit Account pursuant to Subsection 2.1(c), shall be annuitized (using the Interest Factor) into monthly installments and shall be payable to the Director's Beneficiary for the Payout Period. Such benefit payments shall commence within thirty (30) days of the date the Administrator receives notice of the Director=s death, or if later, within thirty (30) days after any final lump sum Phantom Contribution is recorded in the Accrued Benefit Account in accordance with Subsection 2.1(c).

  • Death Benefit Should Employee die during the term of employment, the Company shall pay to Employee's estate any compensation due through the end of the month in which death occurred.

  • Normal Retirement Benefit Upon Termination of Employment on or after the Normal Retirement Age for reasons other than death, the Company shall pay to the Executive the benefit described in this Section 2.1 in lieu of any other benefit under this Agreement.

  • Death Benefits Upon the Executive’s death during the Contract Period, the Executive’s estate shall not be entitled to any further benefits under this Agreement.

  • PAYMENT OF DEATH BENEFIT The Company will require due proof of death before any death benefit is paid. Due proof of death will be:

A surviving dependent of a retiree who was eligible to receive a Retiree Medical Grant, as stated above in A through C, and who qualifies for a monthly allowance shall be eligible for fifty (50) percent of the Grant authorized for the retiree. 2. A surviving eligible retiree who qualifies for a monthly retirement allowance who was married to a retiree who was also eligible for a Grant shall receive the survivor benefit described in D.1., above, or his or her own Grant, whichever is greater. Such retiree shall not be eligible for both Grants.
