Common use of Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule Clause in Contracts

Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule. The Program Manager assists the Design Professional in the preparation of the Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule, and ensures the Owner’s critical schedule milestones are met by the Design Professional. While it is the Design Professional’s obligation to create a workable schedule, the Program Manager should advise the owner when it appears that the Owner’s schedule objectives may become compromised and should explore with the Design Professional ways of achieving the Owner’s schedule objectives. When the Preliminary Schedule is combined into the Design Professional’s Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and approved by the Owner, the Program Manager is responsible for timely completion of all its activities, responsibilities and obligations under this Contract in accordance with the Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule.
