Common use of Premium Pay Differential Clause in Contracts

Premium Pay Differential. Working at Heights of 60 Feet or More Assignments for working at heights of 60 feet or more will be on a voluntary basis. However, if all qualified employees decline the assignment, the City will be free to contract the work out to an outside service provider. Employees who work at heights of 60 feet or more, including but not limited to performing maintenance of lights at San Xxxxx Xxxx, shall receive Height Premium Pay Differential of one and one-half times (1½) times the normal hourly rate for all time performing such work. The Height Premium Pay Differential shall be reported to CalPERS as Height Premium Special Assignment Pay. However, any hours worked on overtime are excluded from CalPERS reported “compensation earnable” in California Government Code Section 20635.
