Common use of Premium Sharing Clause in Contracts

Premium Sharing. Metro shall contribute ninety-two percent (92%) of the insurance premium costs per plan and employees shall pay eight percent (8%) of the premium costs per plan selected by the employee. The premium cost used in these calculations shall be the amount agreed to with the carriers. No cost sharing between plans or any other premium cost adjustments shall be made. These premiums will be paid through payroll deduction for medical, dental, and vision plans provided by an HMO and/or indemnity carrier. Metro agrees to pay an amount up to $150 per month to benefits eligible employees who provide proof of other medical coverage and who opt out of medical and dental coverage through Metro.
