Common use of Private Vehicle Use Clause in Contracts

Private Vehicle Use. The provisions of Article 32 are not applicable to a Casual Employee. 32.01 An employee who is authorized to use a privately owned automobile on the Employer’s business shall be reimbursed in accordance with the Employer’s Travel Policy, provided that such reimbursement will not be less than the base Provincial Civil Service rate as adjusted from time to time. The effective date for immediate change will be the date of signing. For future changes to the provincial rate, the effective rate for changes will be the date of the announcement of such change by government. 32.02 Employees required by the Employer to leave their home department to provide services in other sites (excluding Additional and/or Relief Shifts accepted by employees) will be reimbursed the kilometre rate under Article 32.01. This provision does not apply to Casual Employees.
