Probation Upon Change in Classification. Subd. 1. An employee who changes job classifications shall serve a new probationary period of six (6) months. The probationary period shall commence on the date the employee permanently assumes the duties of the new position. During the probationary period a performance evaluation will be conducted at the approximate mid-point of the probationary period to share deficiencies in the employee’s performance and to outline corrective action.

An employee who voluntarily changes job classifications or adds an additional position in a different job classification shall serve a new subsequent probationary period of six thirty (630) monthsworking days with regard to the new position or the additional position only. The subsequent probationary period shall commence on the date the employee permanently assumes the duties of the new position. Upon changing classifications, it is expected that the employer will provide adequate training and orientation as to the new position. During the subsequent probationary period a performance evaluation will shall be conducted at within the approximate mid-point of the probationary period first fifteen (15) working days to share deficiencies in the employee’s performance and to outline corrective action.the
