Probationar y Period. A new employee w i l l be considered on probation u n t i l he has completed three hundred and thirty - seven and one - half (337 ) hours of work. Upon completion of the probationary period he shall be credited with seniority equal to three hundred and thirty - seven and one - half (337 hours worked since t h e " starting date " date of last hire. The release or discharge of an employee during the probationary period shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration and is at t h e sole discre - tion of the Hospital.
