Problem Approach. The RFP asks that we identify the goals and objectives from the Five Year Prosperity Strategy that the project applies toward. There are two goals in the Five Year Prosperity Strategy that support our application: They are: *Goal 10. A highly accessible, excellent-quality network of non-automobile options is available to transport people and goods within and through the region, and * Goal 11: Transportation and land use planning will be collaborative and highly integrated within the region. The objectives of our proposal fit directly with the Plan’s Regional Objectives: “Developing economic development or transportation plans… and conducting needs assessment.” A key aspect of the Regional Prosperity Initiative is its engagement of multiple sectors in problem- solving, so preference will be given to projects whose leadership and participation evidence the involvement of two or more of the following: Economic development and Transportation. Our project focuses on economic development opportunities tied to the rail extension we seek. It also focuses on creating a more efficient and effective transportation of freight and commerce by elimination of the 3 day delay in transport impacting our region, especially Lenawee and Monroe counties.   • Problem Solving Employees and supervisors are encouraged to attempt to resolve on an informal basis, at the earliest opportunity, a problem that could lead to a grievance. If the matter is not resolved by informal discussion, or a problem-solving meeting does not occur, it may be settled in accordance with the grievance procedure. Unless mutually agreed between the Employer and the Union problem-solving discussions shall not extend the deadlines for filing a grievance. The Union Xxxxxxx or in their absence, the Local Union President, or Area Xxxxxxx, or Chief Xxxxxxx, either with the employee or alone, shall present to the appropriate supervisor a written request for a meeting. If the supervisor agrees to a problem- solving meeting, this meeting shall be held within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the request. The supervisor, employee, Union Xxxxxxx, and up to one (1) other management person shall attempt to resolve the problem through direct and forthright communication. If another member of management is present that person will not be hearing the grievance at Step Two, should it progress to that Step. The employee, the Union Xxxxxxx or in their absence, the Local Union President, or Area Xxxxxxx, or Chief Xxxxxxx, may participate in problem-solving activities on paid time, in accordance with Article 31, Union Rights, Section 1H.

  • Project Approach € Project schedules and budgets are reviewed by the Project Manager on a weekly basis during our company-wide Project Managers Meeting using project status reports generated by our control software (Deltek Vision).
