Procedural Steps and Time Limits. Step 1. Executive Director – No later than five (5) working days after the event giving rise to the grievance, or five (5) work days after the employee should reasonably have learned of the event giving rise to the grievance, whichever is later, the employee must submit a written grievance to the Executive Director, or his designee. The written grievance must contain the specific term(s) allegedly violated by the District on the basis for claiming said violation. The failure to do so will be sufficient grounds to refuse to process the grievance. Within five (5) work days after receiving the grievance, the Executive Director and the employee shall meet to discuss the grievance. The Executive Director shall give his or her written answer within five (5) work days following said meeting.
